Workout of the Day
5 rounds for time of:
power snatch, 10 reps
20 back squats
Well, that was fun!
Great job to everyone for taking on the challenge and excitement of the 2016 CrossFit Open.
We saw some ups and downs. We saw people cry, laugh, celebrate, complain and avoid workouts. We saw people conquer their fears and out perform their expectations.
I’ve been participating in and coaching athletes through the CrossFit Open since 2011. It always has a way of making people want more, even if they did well. And as far as I’m concerned this is a good thing.
I’d like all of you to reflect on the past 5 weeks of fun and focus on what you want after this year’s CrossFit Open. Maybe CrossFit isn’t for you. Maybe you want to compete in the Games next year. Maybe you simply want more in regards to your fitness.
Decide what it is that you want and ask for help. We provide a program, and we as coaches are more than happy to help those willing to make the change necessary to reach their goals.
I for one, would like to be a little fitter next Open season! I’m excited to see what we can accomplish over the next year.
Well done ACF athletes! Huge thanks to the athletes who helped judge – it’s not an easy job and you made it all come together.
